Bio:
Skellefteå 1996. A city in a time of depopulation. Everyone who lives there are vultures, looking for as fucked up jobs
as possible and trying really hard to keep the silence silent. The most remarkable the city had produced at this time was
Margot Wallström and Erika Norberg (Yngvie Malmsteens ex girlfriend). The Youth is occupied with drinking, icehockey and
beeing christian. Anyone who were different had to pay.
The hardcoreband Bitter End, from this town, had just broken up and some of the members (Anders, Fredrik and Tompa)
decided to keep playing together. Not that they were that good musicians or even interested in music, it was rather
the social conditions previously mentioned that kept them playing togheter. The thought with the new band was to scream
louder and play even more raw than they did in Bitter End. The line up was Anders (vocals), Tompa (Guitar), Fredrik
(drums) and later a guy called Tummen (guitar) and a guy named Makke (bass) joined the band. They started to practice
and a couple of songs started to take form, and it is more classic rawpunk rather than the metal-hardcore that they
previously have been playing. The lyrics was screamed in their mouther tounge and the band took the name "Totalt Jävla
Mörker". Outside of the rehersing studio an angry and loney guy called Inge spent his time. He joined the band and they
starting practice seriously and they played their first shows in the surroundings of Skellefteå. Spring 1998 Tummen
leaves the band for a career as a juggler.
A recording summer 1998 ends up as a own produced seven inch record "Då hämndens timme slår". It was pressed in 200
copies who was almost sold out in one day. During the following the summer and autumn the band was put on hold. After
some changes in the band settings, Makke quits and is replaced by Krisse. Inges physichal absence leads to that
Fredrik picks up the microphone and the professional butcher Jerker takes his place behind the drums. A seven inch
is recorded with this setup and is realesed 2000 by Communichaos records. The seveninch "Industri, betong och sålda
själar" sells good and the rumour starts spreading, TJM hits the roads in Sweden and Norway. Inge gets at this time
more and more invalved in his sideprodject, nevertheless he is still a member of the TJM collective and contributes
with sick lyrics trough mail and sometimes he shows up on stage or for rehersals.
Another recording is realesed as a split seveninch with the american band They Fear The Reclaim on Arson records and
Halvfabrikat records. The summer of 2001 the band enters Mullbergets studio in Skellefteå and records a number of
songs who is the most raw the band ever has created. The recording gets some attention on the radio and the band gets
more gigs all around Sweden. The hype peaks at Hultsfredsfestivalen 2002 when the band plays at a full demostage with
everything from swamppunks, ZTV-people to ex-Ebba Grön members in the crowd.
The record "Det ofrivilliga lidandets maskineri" is the result of the recordings during the summer 2001.
The record becomes a success and is nominated best rock at P3 Guld awards and wins an award for best Hardrock/Punk at the
Manifest awards.
During the summer of 2003 the band plays som festivals and a lot of new songs is written. The studio is booked but then
disaster strikes. The drummer Jerker decides to quit the band due to some work related issues at the factory. But after
some persuasion he agrees to record the songs that is written. After an intesive week in the studio in august 2003 a
monster is born. The absence of good drummers leads to that Christian takes Jerkers place behind the drums and Victor
replaces Christian as the bassplayer. The new record is mixed and mastered at tonteknik and is named "Människans Ringa
Värde".
